When the Brisbane Lions announced their two back-to-back Premiership trophies would be touring regional Queensland, including Airlie Beach, we saw an opportunity. With plenty of Lions supporters in our crew, we reached out with a simple idea. If the Cups were coming to the Whitsundays, why not take them on a Jetski Tour?
The Brisbane Lions loved it.
On 19 January, the Premiership Cups arrived in Airlie Beach, and after their public appearance, the Lions crew joined us at Coral Sea Marina. We geared them up and took the trophies out across the turquoise waters of the Whitsundays.
Guests checking in at the time were able to grab photos with the Cups, adding an unexpected moment to their experience.
The Brisbane Lions later shared the experience with their 500,000 followers. The reel received 1,699 likes, 106 shares on Instagram and more than 18,000 views on Facebook.
A simple message and a bold idea turned a trophy tour stop into a memorable moment in the Whitsundays.
